Japan ´ s Panasonic just announced the planning of an eco-town south of Tokyo. This announcement has been made with the town of Fujisawa.
The new town is targeted to offer space fro around 1000 households. Panasonic will deliver solar energy systems and other green technology.
The new town will be planned an realized by a team of 9 companies that have just agreed on a Panasonic press conference to collaborate on this. Japan´ s more than 100 years old architecture company NIkken Sekkei will be among those.
Seen as a project that includes all aspects of design, Panasonic sais: "energy saving technologies in energy creation, storage and management with a safe and secure environment" about the town.
