The Sarnia Solar Plant is the worlds largest Photovoltaic Plant in the world and located in Canada. The Project is a cooperation of Arizona ( USA ) based First Solar and Canadian Firm Enbridge Inc.
The Plant reaches 80MWp ( Watt Peak ) , is able to supply 12,800 households with energy, uses 1,3 Million First Solar Modules and is spread across an area of 950 acres.
Not only the generation of energy from the sun, also the environmental impact of the construction has been incorporated to make this project an important milestone in the transition of the world to move away from non-sustainable economies.
